When the roof of the pro shop collapsed, Harold Britt fixed it. After 1967 the summer home owners propped up their roofs with poles before they left in the fall. The kids were expected to follow the same rules as the grownups around the golf course. He remembers that a couple of kids ran across a green and picked up some of his golf balls on No. 9 when he was playing. Hall was going to get after them, but Milt Coggins Sr., the first golf pro, said, "That's Joe Bob Neely's kids."
